The NYC LGBT Community Center
The NYC LGBT People Center (The Center) was established in 1983 at the height of the AIDS crisis to provide a reliable and affirming place for LGBTQ+ Modern Yorkers to respond to the urgent threats facing the community. We are today—as we were then—a place of safety, connection, movement, and joy. Today, we have over 300,000 annual visitors; 400 community groups call our cosmos home; and we offer a host of direct services to those looking for accessible, affordable and affirming support.
Operating in-person and virtually, we provide recovery and wellness programs, economic advancement initiatives, family and youth back, advocacy, arts and cultural programming, and space for collective organizing, connection, and celebration.
Your donation ensures that LGBTQ Unused Yorkers have a community center to call their abode. A gift of $35 provides you a year-long Center Membership!
