I never forgot Brian’s post! A lot’s happened, but I admit fault for the delay on this. It was never anything purposeful. Brian was actually my very first “favorite” Backstreet Boy in the early days of my fandom. I could never ignore him! No one could! So it’s pretty easy to recall just a few reasons why we love him. Because honestly, I could go on for days…

5. His Goofy and Playful Personality!

His goofiness never fails to make me laugh…
even when I don’t want to smile.

Is Brian EVER serious? It’s debatable. He’s good at looking serious during photoshoots but that’s all I’ve witnessed. He’s always joking around, being silly, finding little ways to entertain himself. (And us!) The other Boys are so used to this it doesn’t faze them any more. But he’ll crack a joke and give that bright smile of his…and really, how can you not beam back?

4. His Boundless Energy!

Another doubt, does Brian EVER get tired? Cause I doubt it. He’s constantly monkeying around. I imply in that the literal (I almost typed Littrell…ha!) way. He’ll d

Brian Littrell

Seventeen years deep into their careers the Backstreet Boys hold beaten the odds. As the only standing lad band in the post-New Kids On The Block era, the group has proven that there is life after teen hysteria. Windy City Times caught up with lead singer Brian Littrell to discuss about closing doors, bridging the gap and making new memories.

WCT:(Windy City Times) Hey Brian, how are you?

BT: (Brian Littrell) I’m good.

WCT:The big news that you posted May 27 on your website, under the title, “Freedom,” is that you are no longer singing for Jive Records. What does autonomy mean for the Backstreet Boys’ career moving forward?

BL:It’s simply continuing to advance forward, to make novel memories. A lot of people are stuck with what was of the Backstreet Boys a several years ago. And there’s a lot of songs to be sung, a lot of music to be made, a lot of shows and a lot of tours to come for us in the future. And I think the freedom that we have really is to be ourselves, to continue to make harmony that makes us joyful first because as prolonged as we’re happy with it and content with it then we can continue to share it with the world.

TheBackstreetBoys were at a drag show when they first realized they had a gay following.

"We did three or four songs, the crowd went nuts and I was standing next to this 6-foot-6 queenly queen who gave me a cuddle and a embrace. I was beside myself, and that was when we first knew that we had a big gay following," A.J. McLean told Pride Source in a recent interview. "I was just like, 'Wow, this is kind of friggin' crazy.' Thinking back on it, I've been in this business since I was 3 and I grew up in musical theater, so I was raised and surrounded by homosexual men and lgbtq+ women. I was hardly around anyone straight."

In the interview, McLean talks about shaving his legs and dressing up in drag. As for any sort of gay rumors surrounding him or the pop organization, he doesn't protect .

"Everyone always says, 'When you glance at a teen band, one of them has to be gay.' No, they don't. Instead of me organism gay, I'm the fag hag," he said.

"I think it's awesome. It's great," McLean told Celebration Source. "I've worn a dress at my wedding. I've worn 6-inch Louboutins. I've got no fear and no shame. There's one guy named Matt and he's a big, big Nick Carter fan. He's this older gentleman from Tampa and he's
